Why Cool Sudoku

All puzzles are not equal. It is easy to create a Sudoku Puzzle.
It is not easy to create a great puzzle. When we create a puzzle we first check it is unique, no puzzle can have more than one solution. Then we solve that puzzle. Using 35 different techniques we grade the puzzle very carefully, and that is the key. We know how to solve each puzzle and the techniques involved and so we can accurately give that puzzle a raitng.

Sudoku

Classic Sudoku uses a 9x9 grid and the numbers 1 to 9. Each number can appear only once in each row and column and also in each block (marked with a bold outline).

Mini Sudoku

Mini Sudoku uses the numbers 1 to 6 in a 6x6 grid. The same strategies can be used when solving these puzzles with each number only allowed to be used once in eah row, colum and block.

Jigsaw

Jigsaw Sudoku uses the same rules as conventional Sudoku in that you must use the numbers 1 to 9 with each number occurring once in each row and column but in the case of Jigsaw Sudoku the boxes are of different shapes (and colors).

Sudoku X

Suduko X is just like normal suduko with a 9x9 grid where each number can appear only once in each row and column and also in each block (marked with a bold outline) however in suduko X there is an X in the going from corner to corner.Just like if it ws a row or colum no to numbers could be in the diagnol of the X.

Kakuro

The basics

•The clue represents the sum of the numbers in the adjacent block of empty cells
•The numbers 1 to 9 are used to fill the grid
•Each block may contain only one occurrence of a digit

Killer

Killer Sudoku uses the same rules as conventional Sudoku in that you must use the numbers 1 to 9 with each number occurring once in each row, column and 3x3 box. In the case of Killer Sudoku the clues are in the form of a sum of the numbers in a cage (defined bya dotted line and of the same color).

For example, a cage with the total of 3 can only contain the numbers 1 and 2, a cage with a total of 4 can only contain 1 and 3 (since we cannot use the same number in an row, column or box). By using a combination of the rules we can work out the possible values for a cell.

Hitori

Hitori is played with a grid of squares or cells, with each cell initially containing a number. The game is played by eliminating squares/numbers and this is done by blacking them out. The objective is to transform the grid to a state wherein all three following rules are true:

no row or column can have more than one occurrence of any given number
black cells cannot be adjacent, although they can be diagonal to one another.
the remaining numbered cells must be all connected to each other, horizontally or vertically.

Nurikabe

The challenge is to paint each cell black or white, subject to the following rules:

Each numbered cell is an island cell, the number in it is the number of cells in that island.
Each island must contain exactly one numbered cell.
There must be only one sea, which is not allowed to contain "pools", i.e. 2×2 areas of black cells.
